Partnership with Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts

Razer also announced a partnership with Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, to pilot the Razer Nabu for hotel guests at two of their new flagship resorts in China opening this autumn, Angsana Xi’An Lintong and Banyan Tree Yangshuo.

“Banyan Tree is always looking for new and innovative ways to create exceptional guest experiences in any one of our destinations. We are excited to work with Tencent and Razer to pilot the Nabu as part of our new “Breath of Fresh Air” program,” said Renhua Ho, General Manager, Banyan Tree China. “It’s a total wellness device when it will help our guests stay connected to the information that matters most to them, and with the growth of social and mobile media in China – this will be a differentiating experience for our guests.”

Hotel guests at the new Xi’An and Yangshuo Banyan Tree Resorts will be able to make use of the Razer Nabu during their stay, keeping them notified of their emails, texts, and calls as well as track their daily fitness activity. It is a value-added service that lets guests get more out of their Banyan Tree experience.

More information about the Nabu partnership with Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts will be made available at a later date.

Chinese apps to launch with Nabu

Razer also revealed two major Chinese apps that will be available integrated with the Nabu at launch. These are WeChat and Timi Run Everyday.

    WeChat
Nabu users will be able to view their daily activity logged right from within WeChat and share it with friends and family on an integrated leaderboard. WeChat users can also automatically exchange contact cards with just a high-five. Finally, WeChat messages and app alerts are sent right to the Nabu’s bright OLED private message screen – so the most important notifications are never missed.

WeChat is China’s leading mobile social communications platform with over 400 million users.

    Timi Run Everyday
The integration between the Nabu and Timi Run Everyday is a world’s first for a mobile game and a wearable. It allows Timi Run Everyday players to utilize their Nabus to convert their number of steps walked, calories burnt, and hours slept logged by the device into in-game rewards like gold or items. This is a revolution in mobile gaming and wearable technology that marries real life interactions with in-game rewards.

Fans of Timi Run Everyday and Nabu will be able to purchase a limited co-branded edition Nabu at a later date, as well as earn exclusive in-game rewards with each purchase.

Timi Run Everyday was the best-selling 2013 winner of “Ten Most Popular Mobile Phone Games” in China, with more than 60 million daily users as unveiled by Tencent Game’s first quarter 2014 results.
