KUALA LUMPUR, 28 April 2015 – Canon has today invited Malaysians to ‘Shoot Big, Show Big’ with a fleet of devices designed to elevate the social experience of viewing and sharing photographs and videos with their loved ones - the all new EOS 760D, EOS 750D and the Connect Station CS100.

The announcement comes on the heels of its announcement that the Company’s interchangeable-lens digital cameras (digital SLR and compact-system cameras) have maintained the No. 1 share worldwide in terms of volume within the interchangeable-lens digital camera market for the 12-year period spanning 2003 to 2014.

Our host for the day was the stunning Choo Mei Sze!
Before you ask, no, I didn't take a selfie with her this time. Perhaps next time...

“Photography has always been as much a social activity as it is a means of immortalising a precious moment in time. While imaging technologies have evolved tremendously over the years, the act and art of capturing a memorable image still retains its marvellous ability to bring people together,” said Wataru Nishioka, President & CEO Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. “We are very proud today to announce the arrival of two all new DSLRs as well as our very own Connect Station CS100 – products we hope will help amplify the power of photography to connect people.”

‘Shoot Big’ with the highest pixel count in Canon’s EOS entry lineup.

The EOS 760D and EOS 750D are the first in Canon’s EOS entry lineup to offer the highest pixel count of 24.2 megapixels. Paired with the latest Canon DIGIC 6 image processor, users of these DSLRs will be able to produce images with excellent quality and vibrant colours. The EOS 760D also has the ability to shoot High Dynamic Range (HDR) movies, which is great for retaining more detail in overexposed shots via the process of combining two frames of differing exposure.

Another feature that helps ensure users capture photo worthy moments quickly and accurately is the new Hybrid CMOS AF III system which enables the camera to swiftly and easily focus both during Live View shooting and video recording.

‘Show Big’ with full photo and video playback and seamless sharing via the Canon Image Gateway (CiG)

The Connect Station CS100 is a convenient one-stop platform to promote the social experience of viewing and sharing of photographs and videos with friends and family. When connected to any modern television (TV) via HDMI cable, users will get to appreciate the fine and subtle details of a well-taken photograph as well as enjoy smooth playback of user-captured high bit-rate movies.

Here are the stars of this Canon event - the EOS 760D and the EOS 750D! These entry-level DSLRs feature a 24.2 MP sensor and the latest Canon DIGIC 6 image processor.

Users can also synchronise images and videos stored on their Connect Station with another by directly uploading content stored in the device onto Canon Image Gateway (CiG) over a wireless network. With the Connect Station, a young family can easily set up their device to synchronise with another unit placed at their parents’ home to enable grandparents to view the latest photos of their grandchildren.

    Built for Sharing

The EOS 760D, EOS 750D as well as Connect Station CS100 are all equipped with Wi-Fi, which allows for fast wireless connections to networks, smart devices and printers. The near field communications (NFC) function on both cameras also enables easy pairing with other NFC-enabled devices, and facilitates files transfers through a simple tap. Users would be able to transfer their images onto the Canon Connect Station CS 100 for convenient file storage and viewing with just a simple tap of the camera on the Connect Station.
