Ed.: Btw .. Centrino paired with ATi mobile? Try this out, works great for me -> Centrino Hardware Control.
Is it compatible with Acer notebooks?

See my notebook model in my signature collumn.

4. Haven't seen any competition to this card yet.
Cons..expensive!.

I just bought a PCMCIA to PCI converter card for my tower pc. When I don't use the lappy, I plug-in the Audigy card into the tower and voila!..Audigy2 sound in system..no need to buy another Audigy card. I've found it better sounding than the onboard Nvidia Soundstorm. Because I remaster audio tracks, the s/noise ratio and lower noise floor is important to me in this case.
i heard that the Audigy2ZS PCMCIA sound card only works with a headphone and not with your lappy's built in speaker, is that true?

The CHC program is cool, man! I get to do many things to my laptop by using the program. Before this, I only use Ray Adam's Ati Tray Tool to downclock my Ati Mobility to the minimum whenever I don't need to use much grapfics.

Hehe, luckily mine doesn't go more than 65 degrees althought i am playing games like WarCraft III. My friend's Fujitsu LiveBook really scorch ppl. Well, since they use AMD 94 Athlon instead of Centrino Technology, it's unavoidable.

If using the latest drivers, it allows user option for the sound to be output to the laptop speakers. Technically how its done, I've not much of an idea but as long as it works, that's fine with me.
I'd say again, this card is the next best thing for sound upgrade in a convenient package.
Now I'm alternately using it on my PC tower machine by which I bought a PCMCIA to PCI adapter card. So far so good..saves me $$ from buying another card for the tower machine.
I may look into the latest Creative X-Fi but I know it's not going to be cheap!.

Hey fellas!..Was at LowYat yesterday, saw few pieces of Coolermaster CoolPad going for RM99 each..(Cycom branch on next corridor after main retail outlet (behind CompuZone)
Go quick grab it!..I think they're throwing it out!..
