There are a few other GSM control codes (like the one to stop the SIM Clock) that might have helped to save your batteries a few years ago, but these days I betcha the phone manufacturers are probably doing a pretty decent job of using really high-cap Li-Poly batteries, power-efficient circuits and the like. Just think back to, say, 10 years ago - how many phones back then could survive more than a couple of days on standby? I remember back in the late '90s when Philips introduced the Genie that it had the then-extraordinary standby life of ~400 hours on an extended battery (which, to be fair, is really really good even now) and battery life was always a key element in choosing a new phone. These days, features, gadgetry and so on fill most buyers' purchase criteria. | |

Sometimes the screen frizzles into some sort of messy look. And the DOWN and some buttons are very hard to press and it's not responsive anymore. It's a good phone, but I think this phone is partially ruined by my whole family frequent usage, (including me) and we got ourselves a 3100. 3100 is a good classic colour phone. It fulfills all my cellular demands. |
