Laptop can't connect to network (IN URGENT NEED OF HELP!)

While I was surfing the net & chatting with a friend on MSN, I got disconnected & checked to see if the line was connected.

Normally, it will work when I uninstall my wireless network card & then restart my laptop.

But now, it doesn't work as usual! Kept doing it repeatedly until I gave up!

Yup, wireless.

I usually do that that, but the thing is my laptop's network card will fail sometimes (While other computers are working.). But on the next day, when I connect to my school's network, the laptop will be back to normal when I get back home.

Now that it's back in working condition, I hope it doesn't fail.

brand of the card? have u try reinstall the software?
and wat u using for ur house wireless router/AP?

Ok, now that it isn't working(Again!);

Wireless Network Adaptor(Sony VAIO)-> Intel PRO Wireless 3945ABG

Home Wireless Router-> SMC7904WBRA

I've tried uninstalling the laptop's wireless network card numerous times & just did a system restore, but there doesn't seem to be any difference at all!

And I've also noticed that my received packets are less than the sent ones (Other computers are working fine on this network except for mine.).

try repair connection .. something like that when you right click your network connection

TF you can take a try to update the drivers

On top of that do Sony has its own software, is better to seperate the profile when you connect with each different places

You can also try forcing the WiFi card to use either 802.11b (11mbps) or 802.11g (54mbps).
