Default Laptop HDD - where to get a good deal online

My HDD for my laptop (HP nx9005) recently crashed and I'm now looking for a replacement with higher gigabytes (60-80) and within a budget of 100 dollars. Does anyone know of any online stores where I can acheive this objective?

Also I will install the HDD myself ( so as to cut-back on added costs). However this is something which I haven't done before. This shouldn't be a problem since I'm dealing with a notebook HDD, should it?

Thanks in advance for any recommendations and suggestions given to my matter.

Installing a notebook hard drive is really easy. Just unscrew the cover to the drive compartment, remove the old drive and slot in the new one.

You will need to know what kind of interface your notebook uses though. Older notebooks use the ATA/IDE interface while the newer ones use the SATA interface. Be sure to buy the new hard drive based on the interface your notebook supports.

Hmm.. Where are you located? If you are in the US, just go to Pricegrabber and look for the notebook hard drives in your budget. They allow you to list the drives according to price.

You can also check out our reviews of various notebook hard drives and figure out which one best suits your needs. We have Pricegrabber links at the bottom of each page too.
