Well, it's generally a battery problem...

So, if exploding notebooks are an issue with Li-Ion batteries, imagine the fireworks that are possible with fuel cell batteries.

Bottom line Dell done thier part on the battery issue, i think result will tell.

But in the first place i not sure why they getting this battery, bad development? or bad QC?

it's one of the problems with Li-Ion batteries
there's always going to be a small probability that a battery has a manufacturing defect that brings out this property of the battery and bam!
with millions of notebooks sold a year this shouldn't be too surprising
and there's a the inq article detailing this further

Reasonable, unlucky guy will buy it

The Li-Ion batteries factory is the one should responsible for this then, yeah 1 out of 10000 might spoil that why all the goods we buy got warranty..

Unfortunately, no amount of warranty can replace all that lost data...

Seems like laptop is the worse place to store your important datas

either the laptop blows up or got stolen then all your datas will be gone
