Small buttons are not the biggest problem, but they are so close, Im still regularly pressing 2 buttons at the same time!

That is THE problem IMO. There are many phones with tiny buttons, especially the qwerty phones. But I don't see the tiny buttons a issue to me. It's actually harder to press the wrong button with tiny but well spaced buttons than huge buttons and tightly spaced. You can't feel the buttons properly.

Hmm.. Really? My Nokia 6070 has large but closely placed buttons. Real nice to use!

small buttons because they try to maximise the screen size?

the biggest disappointment would be w880i, big space under the screen but the buttons are the size of rice. Slim (copycat) , then no flash/lights, no radio some more.

Maybe they expect you to communicate telephatically with it?

I could never get used to badly-designed QWERTY keyboards built-in on phones such as the P990i.

It's horrible to use although my fingers might be a little big. I always end up pressing two buttons or the wrong buttons.

The e61(i)'s QWERTY buttons, although tiny, are great to use.

yeah the new SE phones are really forcing me to look at nokias and dopods for my next phone purchase. Seriously crap in terms of new features and the features of the models are all jumbled up. For example, higher end phones that should have HSDPA don't and lower end phones that should not have features like GPS do. Wth?

Yeah, W880i, my most hated SE phone.

W910 might suit my taste, but it's just another SE phone.

But P990i is a QWERTY phone? Are you talking about M600 or the new P1?

Yes the P990i is a QWERTY.

It has individual buttons unlike P1i's rocker 2-in-1 buttons.

The P990i has also a numeric keypad on the flip. The flip can be removed via a cover-changing kit that comes with the P990i.
