Overall, it's a cool phone. I like everything except one thing. You are right. It's a little sluggish for me too. Not as fast as my old W810i. Especially so when it's running an application. Looks like it's not optimized for multithreading. Seems like all the resource is given to the running application. For example, if I'm playing music. Even when the player is in the background, everything goes sluggish.

But I can live with it for now cos despite that, it's pretty stable and i'd just live with running just one app at a time.

Talk about sluggish, I was using the Nokia 6600 and so I thought it was a wonderful feature packed phone in 2005. Jeezz..I was really never satisfied with it. It was slow, sometimes buggy and just a pain i-t-ass to use. Oh ya..I wasn't at liberty to simply upgrade or change just like that due to no budget. Anway, 3+ years have gone past and I've changed to an SE and to suffice slightly more than basic use. I think I'm happy for now that 6600 is history. I think that was the worst phone I've ever owned. No more Nokia's for the next 4 years.

Hehe.. I tried the Nokia 6600 too. Slow and too large for me. Sold it off quickly.

nokia's symbian has the functionalities, but i've never been a fan of it due to its sluggishness. the newer models are faster (e.g. N95 8GB), but still, not as responsive as I wish it would be.

kind of like the usability of the new w.mobile 6.1.

@Peaz : my brother has a W910i, and sibling rivalry dictates that I get something different. Or he'll cry foul and so will I. My requirements/wants are listed in the OP, but here's a recap :

Scheduling software, Email on the go (either through 3G or WiFi), innovative input system (that keyboard/touchscreen combo makes my inner geek just weep), alot of good cheap (IE free) software available, good multimedia functionality, good form factor/weight/design, decent price (below RM1800).

I used to have a W810i, but an incident involving clubbing, excessive sweating, and too much talking on the phone, bricked it. I did try my father's N95 for a day or two, but I just didn't like how slow it felt, whenever it tried to do anything (from opening up messages to just going through menu options).

The 6600? That's used as a paperweight around the house. LoL.

I really don't understand how so many companies can ignore the sluggishness of their interfaces. I've used so many phones and yet the Apple iPhone impressed me most with its ultra-responsive interface.

A modded WM6 can be extremely responsive, I read/heard. I will try a modded WM6 hopefully.

Just went to a Samsung event. They have some really cool looking phones like the Samsung Soul (U900). The new interface needs getting used to though.
