I plan to have an EEEPc, but there are other net-books which is its nearest competitor, the Twinhead E10, and also the VIA Nanobook. Others like the Aspire One and the Dell Inspiron Mini are also on its way. The more expensive ones are HP and Kohjinsha. They look cool too!

The Twinhead E10 looks normal as the screen i dont quite fancy the quality of it.lol..dunno bout the rest but I sorta like the Kohjinsha small notebook, it looks really sexy and expensive at the same time

The Twinhead E10 could have problems in the HDD - it's not SSD. Also, the VIA Nanobook has many many different versions, but all of them are sticking to one same design. The Manhattan, Packard Bell and also Everex Cloudbook are using the same Nanobook template. It's using a 30GB HDD, too bad. Guess that I have to explore summore.hehe!

But, if you deploy WinXP from the hard disk (installing from HDD), you might *need* a smartdrv.exe if you use a casual HDD (mechanical) to speed things up, otherwise the setup wouldn't run. I seriously dunno how smartdrv will ever work on SSD-drives. I need to think about it... Another option is to fill up the thumbdrive with the WinXP installation and let it boot from there. Easy!

You can use it anywhere without worrying about the vibration and shaking killing them. Don't just go for the smallest size though. They may look nice and are easy to carry, but they are sure hard to type on! I tried the 8.9" models and man, I can NOT type a single word right without making a mistake. Personally, I would go for the 11" model (with a 10.2" LCD) that comes with a SSD drive. I would also go for one with a 6-cell battery because these UMPCs are really designed for mobile computing, so I need all the battery life I can get.
