PSP Mod in Penang

any malaysians here mod their PSP in the shops before?
how much are they charging?

my friend mod his in JB for like RM15.

i went to Queensbay Mall in Penang, and they are charging it for like RM50 and RM80

any place to recommend in Penang?

The mod you mean is to mod it from Original firmware to Custom firmware right?well, those are the normal price they charge to modding the psp =/ So it's either i teach you or we meet up to mod the psp XD

nope. From selangor here =/..Planning to head to penang...maybe...you just need a psp that runs custom firmware, any memory stick and a normal psp battery. personally i think modding the psp price is a bit absurd -.-

Well, it can be converted by to original firmware

...But most of us get our psp from game shops and most are ready modded...Except those bought from Sony Style shops

yes, the problem is i'm not willing to mod my battery

its not as simple and downloading the flash utility and run it.

sony is pretty tight when it comes to flashing, you need to get the psp into service mode before you can flash it with custom firmware.

even the sony ericsson phones, you can flash a phone but you can't unlock it using flash method

i wonder if after modding to a M33 firmware, do i need a pandora's battery to update it to newer M33 firmwares?

btw modding the battery is now being done using software instead of hard mod

..the battery can be converted to normal or pandora battery anytime o.o/ after modding to m33 software, a pandora battery is no longer require for updates and etc
