Default OC 6800 Gt temp..

Hi I am now oveclocked @ 420/1.15 adn 12192 @ 3dmark03...and I idle @ 62 and when I just played doom around 70-72....Is this alright or should i lower my OC....thanks in advance...

Just remember this - you won't notice significant increase on thermal output after you overclocked your card unless you are voltage modding it So the idle/load temperature of your card should be more or less the same as before you overclocked it. Also, 60-70c temperature range is normal for today's high-end graphics card

wait is a temp of 75 normal...after I played far cry? for about 1 hour 30 minutes? Or should I buy a better cooling?

my XFX 7800gtx runs at about 50 degrees idle, and always less than 70 under load...

I have an Asus V9999GT (Geforce 6800GT), cooled with a Zalman Vf700-Cu (@ 12V).

At stock speed (350/1000 mhz) it reaches 46 Degrees Celsius (idle) and 56 Degrees (load). I havent done much overclocking (yet ) but I cant imagine temps rising much higher than 60-65 Degrees.

(BTW @ stock cooling temps were 3-4 Degrees higher when idle but only 1 at load)
