Sounds a bit like that issue with Asus that you guys exposed some time back, except this one is a LOT more blatant.

Oh well, all the more reason not to buy GeCube cards ever again

LOL! We have not tested any 'preselected' samples from Gecube before...

Not an uncommon practice. Even NVIDIA does it with their samples.
