Easier said than done...you have to go out and buy while that batch is still in stock
Eg. Venice 0517, Opteron 0540...stocks move all the time so there's still a bit of luck involved.

no la... as in buying fr the 2nd hand market..

Yeah exactly. Easier than said.

I'm not exactly a noob at overclocking. It's virtually impossible to pick the good batches.

1. We don't get a lot of nice batches here.
2. By the time the good batches news are spread out, I don't think it's still possible to find it anymore.
3. Overclocking is always about luck, and I can tell you, I've never been lucky since I started overclocking 8-9 years back.

My 3200+ Venice might do 2.7GHz at higher voltage, but it doesn't really appeal to me. And I remember 3500+ Venice costed a bomb, and it wasn't here yet when I bought my 3200+ Venice.

well, i'm not going to pay premium for good batches either..
juz o/c with wad u haf lor..

yup, back then a64 were expensive & a FX cost 4-digits..

i onli started less than 2years ago i guess, when i first discovered the option to change fsb in bios, lol..
