I have also noticed that the side panel that allows 2 additional case fans has no filter at all. In fact it allows a lot of dust into the case so I made this simple mod (pic1). This isn’t brain surgery its simple and cheap thought I would post it up. Tools: Phillips Screwdriver Glue gun Exacto Knife Supplies: Screen or mesh (I used black screen door screen) Remove the side panel and side case fans (pic2). Clean the side panel and case fans. On the backside of the side panel lay out the screen or mesh and cut to size with the exacto knife. Making sure the screen or mesh is tight and taunt put it place and seal it in with the glue gun (pic3). Before remounting the case fan(s) pick out the mounting holes needed and cut them in an X pattern this will keep the screen or mesh taunt and from binding on the screws for the fan. Remount the fans I chose only to remount 1 of them. The top one I noted was too close to my CPU cooler (pic4)and I needed that Coolermaster fan for a review anyway lol. That’s all (pic5) |

I left the top panel for about 2 weeks to see how much dust the mesh that came with the case caught and seems just that works well. So will see |
