problem with CPU-Z Hi, I have this issue that later versions of CPU-Z won't run on my Intel i7-4930K Asus P9X79 mobo winXP. When I execute them I see a long wait and freeze at the splash screen. X264 completes all passes but there's no system info. I will test on the dual boot Win7_64. The CPU temperature is lower than what I see realtime when the cores are at 95%. The core temperature drop very quickly when there is no work. I think the app may be sampling core temp after the work has been done and temperature has reduced? I subsituted the packed version of CPU-Z with v1.44.2 which executes fine stand alone. Benchmark report is now complete as follows. I haven't looked further into the CPU-Z issue, but I have had problems with some other apps not working correctly with this 6 core 12 thread cpu. Results are about what I expected, although the cpu cores only max out to about 94% whereas Prime95 can run at 100% ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Results for x264.exe r2200 x264 Benchmark: 32-bit ========================== Pass 1 ------ encoded 5906 frames, 88.23 fps, 7787.14 kb/s encoded 5906 frames, 87.44 fps, 7787.14 kb/s encoded 5906 frames, 87.74 fps, 7787.14 kb/s encoded 5906 frames, 89.13 fps, 7787.14 kb/s Pass 2 ------ encoded 5906 frames, 24.39 fps, 8001.61 kb/s encoded 5906 frames, 24.38 fps, 8001.61 kb/s encoded 5906 frames, 24.25 fps, 8001.61 kb/s encoded 5906 frames, 24.42 fps, 8001.61 kb/s System Details -------------- Name Intel Processor product System Product Name Codename Specification Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4930K CPU @ 3.40GHz Core Stepping Core Speed 4400.0 MHz Northbridge Intel ID0E00 rev. 04 Southbridge Intel ID1D41 rev. 06 Memory Type Memory Size 3268 MBytes Windows Version Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (Build 2600) Voltage sensor 0 1.43 Volts [0xB3] (CPU VCORE) Number of processors 1 Number of threads 12 Number of threads 12 (max 32) L2 cache 6 x 256 KBytes, 8-way set associative, 64-byte line size Instructions sets MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4.1, SSE4.2, EM64T Package Temperature sensor 0 28°C (82°F) [0x1C] (SYSTIN) Temperature sensor 1 34°C (93°F) [0x44] (CPUTIN) Temperature sensor 2 53°C (126°F) [0x69] (AUXTIN) Temperature sensor 0 33°C (91°F) [0x21] (GPU Core)

This was done with an i7-5960X clocked at 4326.6 MHz (4.3 GHz) under closed loop liquid cooling. The OC seems to be a significant improvement over the stock numbers listed over at us.hardware.info I have two separate benches done below, a 64-bit one and a 32-bit one. 64-bit one seems to be about 25% better on the first pass, and about 6% better in the second pass. I'm having some issues getting the benchmark to run. I'm on Windows 10 64-bit and I have installed AviSynth 2.5.8 and extracted the necessary .dll files (avisynth.dll and devil.dll) into the System32 directory. The first (and perhaps most concerning) problem is that the security checksums you've listed do not match the downloaded file using the link on your website. Further, when I attempt to extract the files using WinRAR, it tells me that the files are corrupted. When attempting a work around using 7zip, I can extract without an error message, but there is no Run Benchmark.vbs file. When running the bench_script.bat file using Administrator command prompt, I get this: The system cannot find the path specified. The system cannot find the file specified. e.g. the CPU multiplier and FSB (like 333x9 for example): Once I input a value for the multiplier and FSB, the program runs through in a matter of a few milliseconds. NVIDIA Shadowplay recording at 60 fps is the only reason I have these frames: So, what am I doing wrong? Or is there indeed something wrong with the file? Thanks
