i have this mobo with an amd 3400...just wondering if i can expect good overclocking with this unit???

Not too much . I've tried 2 or 3 k8ns ... but there are some limitations
Anyway, you should give it a try.

as long as u keep the memory settings and HTT down, u might get some luck in overclocking the CPU.

no worries about the memory performance as a64 platform is entirely different from the conventional system. memory and htt do not affect the performance that much.

I had a Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra-939 >>> AGP

Overclocked OK....

Just have to pick some good Ram...
