From newegg's pricelist, Sempron64 3400+ is USD118. Why don't you go for Athlon64 3000+ S754 Venice? It's a new revision for S754 A64 with SSE3 and 90nm. Price is USD120. It has the same clockspeed as S64 3400+, but u got 512kB L2 with A64. What mobo r u planning to use with it?

i love the Semprons. i have a 2800+ and 3000+.

those are great, nice to OC. a moderate OC could bring them to 2.2 - 2.4ghz range easily.

however if you're talking about Sempron 3400+, why not get Athlon64 then?

if you can wait for M2 to come out, then wait for it cos it'll probably drive the S939 prices down and by then you could save up more to get better processor already.

its true what u say but right now i just need to buy the best budget amd cpu i can find cuz for some reason i keep having the feeling that next year something else gonna be better and all that good money is all gone u know what i mean? so right now i'm just trying to be patient also wanting to get a new board + cpu and probaly new rams. but i want the board for future use . right now i got a a7v8x-x so u know what i mean? i'm like 2 generations down from the current boards out there.
btw are there any semprons 64 for the 939?
