Default ASUS P5N32-SLI Deluxe and P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe

there is two version of ASUS P5N32-SLI.one of it is the SE version.ASUS release the SE version because the previous version did not support intel core 2 duo processors (C2D).

i've already own both of them.i'm using my C2D E6600 on ASUS P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe and pentium d 940 on my ASUS P5N32-SLI Deluxe mobo.

the P5N32-SLI Deluxe didn't support C2D and both P5N32-SLI using the same 8 Mb Flash ROM, AWARD BIOS, PnP, DMI2.0, WfM2.0, SM BIOS 2.3 (AMI BIOS).

i already try C2D E6300 processor in P5N32-SLI Deluxe mobo and guess what,it works!really works!then i put in C2D E6600 processors on P5N32-SLI Deluxe and it didn't work at all.

i guess the P5N32-SLI Deluxe didn't support 4mb cache C2D processor.just my opinion lol.i'm not to expert in mobo architecture.i'm very confuse about this matter...please help!thanks...

Have you tried updating the BIOS to the latest revision?

There should be no reason for the P5N32-SLI Deluxe not to support Core 2 Duo processors with 4MB cache.

The current BIOS you are using may not be able to "identify" the E6600. Try updating the BIOS.
