Default OC Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+

I have the Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ 2.41 GHz chip on an ASUS A8N-E motherboard with Phoenix BIOS 10008 of 8/22/05, SMBIOS version 2.3.
I have never tried overclocking and would like to try.
Is this something I can do in BIOS?

Thanks, CMA

Default AI NOS (Non-Delay Overclocking System)

I used a BIOS option called AI NOS in the above AMD system to overclock by 5%.

Before overclocking, the CPU tempearture was 39 degrees C. After overclocking, it got to 54 degrees C.

At what point is the temperature considered too high?

Default

When your system starts crashing. Processor can withstand temperatures way beyond the crashes.
