Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | I have the Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ 2.41 GHz chip on an ASUS A8N-E motherboard with Phoenix BIOS 10008 of 8/22/05, SMBIOS version 2.3. I have never tried overclocking and would like to try. Is this something I can do in BIOS? Thanks, CMA |

Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | I used a BIOS option called AI NOS in the above AMD system to overclock by 5%. Before overclocking, the CPU tempearture was 39 degrees C. After overclocking, it got to 54 degrees C. At what point is the temperature considered too high? |
