Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | I've got a compaq Evo D300v desktop with onboard video, and i'm using a radeon 7000 series agp card..now as soon as i plug the ati card in, the onboard intel adapter disappears from everything...device manager and bios, and if i plug in a pci card along with the agp card, bios won't let me enable them both together so that i can run a projector on this machine along with the monitor....WHAT CAN I DO???? Trying to set this up for our church, and they don't have the cash for a vga splitter or a dual video card...there has to be a way to enable both cards right?? pls help. Thanks! ![]() |

As for using PCI card, there's no need to enable it in BIOS. It should detect both in Windows. |

As for the BIOS option for VGA config, normally it's "Display Card Priority" or similar. It doesn't disable either cards. Last edited by Chai : 5th Nov 2007 at 04:06 PM. |

Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | Going back to this bios thing....I know what your saying about the bios....but with this Compaq 686P9 v1.11 bios when I have an agp card and a pci card in there is a line under the 'advanced' section for 'pci vga config.' which is the primary/non-boot area..BUT, there is also a line under 'pci devices' which lists the two cards with enable/disable after them, along with assigning the irq's....and here you CANNOT enable both...if you go to enable the one that is disabled, it automaticlly disables the other one. Is there any way around this? Also I put in just one pci card, and ran the on-board, and this time is said 'not enough resources' to start the pci card...but there is nothing else in the slots..i took everything else out...am I getting closer? is there something I can do? again.. thanks for your time on this matter. |
