Triple core seems to be OK but,somehow I feel they are selling crippled cpus.

The Erratas on thoses cores are only about the TLB... and as i know the TLB only serves for Programmers ... so i don't think we can give this lame excuse by it's performance...(in comparison of intel)

I think they are faulty core more than a crippled core. Why would you want to break a core intentionally?

Ya think is more apropriate... i seen noobs on others forums saying the X3 was an X4 in truth... but the useless core was inactive only because if one core dies... it will remplace it(like the PS3)... who is totaly false rofl XD... But would be nice if somebody found an way to unlock the locked core on the X3 Versions....

Hmm, i actually was wonder is there really 4 cores in the tri core version of phenom =_= Most likely it's a dummy vore and i doubt there is way to unlock the locked core on those x3 xD

The Phenom has a monolithic design, which means all Phenoms AFAIK will have four cores. The tri-core version just has one core disabled. Most likely, that core isn't functional to begin with.
