Reputation: 62 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | ...trying to determine what's the best CPU for gaming between the X2 6000+ (dual-core, 3Ghz) and the X3 8600B (tri-core, 2.3Ghz). The benchies that I have seen seem to provide a clear win for the 6000+...only one that I saw showed a minor benefit to the X3. I don't honestly expect that at any time in the forseeable future that 3 slower cores will be better than 2 faster cores...thoughts? Oh - right now these are both available for ~$110. So thereby a comparison is warranted. |
