Yeah, the ATI Radeon HD 3450 would beat the crap out of the IGPs.

But if you are looking to just play HD videos and simple games, then the Intel GMA4500HD is good enough. Unlike its non-HD version and the older GMAs, it's fast enough to support HD videos.

Okay, then it would be much better to go dedicated. It only makes sense to get IGP if it's cheap and you don't need serious graphics processing power.

Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-EP35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards
Newegg.com - MSI P43 Neo3-F LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards
Newegg.com - BIOSTAR TForce TP43D2A7 LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

Well, that Gigabyte DS3 series is flexible stuff, and the build quality is slighty better than the others. In my opinions, Asus, Gigabyte and MSI made quite good boards.
