All socket 775 processors don't have legs, which includes all C2D, and most newer P4.

Yeah, What Chai said.

Now, the motherboard socket has the "legs". Be sure never to touch those.

ah, I see
thanks for the help for both of you

got any recommendation for motherboard? around US$50
for the e7200 of course

how bout this ?
Newegg.com - Foxconn G31MV-K LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

edit: what we need to see on a motherboard to determine it is a good board? I'm still don't know how to see it.

E7200 is not using PGA (Pin Grid Array). The 'legs' are called 'pins'.

It's a pinless, contact-based LGA (Land Grid Array).

So you need is a motherboard with LGA775 socket. (Socket T if I'm not mistaken).

Well, casually we pair Intel processors + Intel chipsets.

Which model?

Foxconn seems to be quite good. Very under the radar at the moment but they make tons of motherboards for other companies, and even iPods for Apple.

Looks okay, but you do know it's a micro ATX motherboard, right? It's a very small motherboard, good for HTPCs but really limited expansion options for a full PC.
