If you absolutely have to go for Phenom X4 for whatever reasons, 9850/9950 is something closest to Q6600 you can get right now.

Not that I'm an Intel fanboy, but I'm extremely neutral about it. If you want maximum performance now, you should need that Q6600. If not, or you are doing just casual stuff on it, not hard-core, any cheaper AM2+ or AM3 systems will help. My faithful X2 is still working good until I changed it to an E7200 system. Wow!

Reputation: 11 ![]() Rep Power: 3 | Ask yourself, how would you utilize multi core processing? If you cannot answer, go for E8400 instead. Qxxx consumes more power and generates more heat in relation to E8400
