haha i dont think there is any same performance. just check the faster one, although the overclocking might not be comparable with Q6600

Just get an Intel Q6600 and be happy with it. No point getting AMD now unless you have some specific reasons for going AMD lol.

No. I won't even consider Phenom unless:

- I have AM2 mainboard and looking for an upgrade.
- I'm a fanboy

Not to mention Phenoms are poor overclockers.

If you absolutely have to go for Phenom X4 for whatever reasons, 9850/9950 is something closest to Q6600 you can get right now.

In practical point of view, Phenom's has too much shortcomings. Not that I'm an Intel fanboy, but I'm extremely neutral about it.

If you want maximum performance now, you should need that Q6600. If not, or you are doing just casual stuff on it, not hard-core, any cheaper AM2+ or AM3 systems will help.

My faithful X2 is still working good until I changed it to an E7200 system. Wow!

Ask yourself, how would you utilize multi core processing?

If you cannot answer, go for E8400 instead.

Qxxx consumes more power and generates more heat in relation to E8400
