Lightbulb Pentium 4 Processor with HT on a i845 chipset

Hello people;

Will a Pentium 4 Processor with Hyper-Threading technology works on a motherboard that has an i845 chipset? and what are the benefits of a Pentium 4 Processor with Hyper-Threading Technology?

Thanks

It's more than processor and chipset. BIOS must support the processor. You need to provide the exact processor model, and the model of the motherboard.

Unknown? Is that a branded PC?

What processor are you planning to replace with?

The i845 motherboard should be able to support the Pentium 4. However, you need to make sure the BIOS supports the model you intend to upgrade to. You will need to check with Samsung...
