Being this boards chipset offically supports up to DDR2 800 RAM this could be the problem. The DDR2 1066 could be causing an issue with the Northbridge. What I recommend is contacting the RAM Vendor to see if they have tested this specific RAM on this board and what they did to get it working correctly.

Hi,
The thing is, I am using the the 5:6 divider (for DDR2 800) to reach my speeds as I am running 439
FSB on the processor (which is rock solid stable). I'm not using the 'memspeed' function.

All 1066 ram bascially uses the same chip module (Micron D9) which is the exact same one Crucial
uses (naturally since they are owned by micron).

Also, the board is killing the ram. I have tested these modules at DDR2 800 (specifically 1 kit that I
never ran at 1066) and I am seeing a lot of red on memtest on all four sticks on all four slots (cycled
through 1 stick at a time through all four ram slots).

Please advise.

Thanks!

Hello,

The problem is most likely not the motherboard, it is your memory. We have NO memory on our
DDR2 1066 QVL that supports more than two sticks, nor do we have any OCZ 1066 memory as
approved as working for the board. The latest QVL is here, and you may find some of the other
manufacturers such as Corsair, Crucial, etc have a more certified modules on their web sites.

The board also only supports DDR2 800 officially, as noted in the Users Guide. 1066 is only
supported using the Asus Super Memspeed function, which allows you to select 1066 as an option in
the BIOS.

If you feel that your board is defective, contact RMA at (510) 739-3777 option 2 to arrange for
repair or replacement.

[Problem Description]
I have cycled through 3 sets of OCZ DDR2 1066 HPC 5-5-5-15 running at stock settings.

All 3 kits that I have been through have since died (showed errors on memtest) after using them at
stock settings.

I would like to RMA my motherboard as I think it may be a problem with the motherboard (as I have
RMA'd my ram before and OCZ supplied me with a kit that was tested prior to shipping out - but died
a month later - all kits died within a month of use in the motherboard).

In my reply I attached an email from Andy Talamantez of OCZ saying that they have never had a problem with PxK series mobos.

Point I would like to make is why would they advertise that the mobo works with 1066 ram (I know chipset is meant for 800) and I dun even use their crappy divider to get it to 1066. I use the 800 divider to get it to 1033 coz of my FSB.

Tards.

Gimme my rma.

I also conveniently attached my TechARP email siggy at the end of it too.

Don't make me pull a PowerColor move on them.
