Ok.. I got two of the blue variable resistors.

The ones I got are called Trimmers, is that righT? Looks the same. I got a 10k and a 20k. Here is what I don't understnad, one is called 15 turn and the other 25 turn. Sounds lame, but what does that mean?

Also the guide mention I should start w/ the most resistance. From looking at the top, is that rotating it clockwise or counter to increase resistance?

Sorry for the noob questions, but I'm not an electrical guru or protray one on tv. But I have ok soldering skills.

Thanks again for all your help.

LOL! anytime

If trimmer is what you have.... You need to poke your multimeter to the trimmer (i'm sure you know how to and where to) and adjust the trimmer, turning it counter/clockwise. By doing this you will be able to know turning counter/clockwise is reducing/increasing the resistance. After that, with the multimeter still on the trimmer, adjust the trimmer until it reaches it's highest resistance. My english is pretty limited and i'm bad at explaining things but i hope you will understand Hope that helps!

As for the how many turns....er....i'm not sure

Max,

thansk for much for all the help.

I just did some voltage testing on my vidoe card to see what card I have and what teh stock voltage is.

Turns out I have a r360 on a 9800PCB. So i will be using the 9800Pro vmod guide and not this one.

The interesting this is that my Mem voltage ist at 2.94, which is higher then the stock 2.7 - 2.8v level. So I guess I'm not going to touch my mem voltage till later.

As for my GPU, I'm at 1.77v. So i'm going to vmod that first, and see if I can kick it up to 1.9 and get it to 500Mhz I'm at 465 right now.

After reading several posts and forums, It seems I may be having issues w/ my water block making good contact w/ the GPU. My WB was made for the 9500. So i'm going to remove the shim and see if I get better performance before I vmod it.

Thanks again for everyone's help

465MHz is a very good overclock for R360!

Wow! 465MHz is a really impressive overclock for R360

I think you can easily push your card up to 500MHz with 2.0v

Remember, don't push over 1.95v if you want your card to last longer than one or two months
