Default ATI Radeon X800 Voltage Modding Guide!

As you all know, it is possible to voltage mod your graphics card to improve the overclockability of its GPU and memory chips. However, unlike overclocking, voltage modding requires you to physically mod the card.

Today, we will cover the voltage modding techniques for the ATI Radeon X800 graphics cards. This covers both the X800 Pro as well as the X800 XT PE. Just remember to read through the guide and follow our steps carefully!

heya,

nice guide

but ...

you may want to include the Vddq mod aswell : http://www.madshrimps.be/gotofaqlink.php?linkid=2623

with this type of memory there are a few things to keep in mind:

- Vddq is best kept at 0.10V higher then Vdd
- more voltage doesn't always yield more overclock, one needs to find the sweetspot.

Default Sigh.

Guess I'll be the first here to modifinihilate my card.

Card is a HIS X800Pro IceQ2 card. It reaches 560/560 stable at stock voltages (well, I haven't measured them yet but I assume the voltage levels are 'stock')

I'll keep you updated. Pray for my success.

Great Guide!! Thanks a lot.
BTW is the guide the same for AGP and PCI-E? I am about to receive a Sapphire X800 PRO PCI-E tomorrow and am just about to order some resitors...

Cheers

Shouldn't be a problem the PCI-E X800 layout should be identical to AGP X800 Mind showing us the picture of your card?
