Only a few top manufacturers are capable of producing memory modules that can achieve those clock speeds. Today, we will take a look at a 1GB memory kit from Mushkin that's designed to take you to 550MHz and beyond - the new Mushkin PC4400 Hi Perf Dual Pack! Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | I have these Mushkins for a couple of weeks and here is my report (you will see - it is different from review Aopen i855GMEm-LFS (i855 chipset, Dothan 735 CPU) - DDR440 2-2-2-5 2.5V - DDR500 2.5-3-3-7 2.5V (mobo doesnt support Vdimm increase, but it is the best results Ive ever seen) DFI nF4 Ultra-D (nF4 chipset, Winchester 3000+ CPU) - DDR600 2.5-4-3-7-1T 2.7V - DDR622 2.5-4-3-7-1T 2.9V (dont want to try higher voltages, but there is potential for higher overclock - modules with these voltages are lukewarm, the coldest tccd-based Ive seen) So, finally HiPerf 550 are simply the best sticks Ive ever seen. G.Skills are a little bit better in highest overclock, but unable to hit these speeds at 2.5V on i855GMEm-LFS. Last - for comparison other sticks Ive tested this year on these mobos (first Aopen i855/second DFI nF4) KHX ULL 400 2-2-2-5 2.5V / 520 2.5-4-3-7-1T 2.8V OCZ Plat R2 405 2-2-2-5 2.5V / 540 2.5-4-3-7-1T 2.8V (simply the hottest sticks Ive ever tested )Mushkin L2V2 TCCD 420 2-2-2-5 2.5V / 560 2.5-4-3-7-1T 2.8V All of results in this post was done with rock-stable memories. My conclusion is - for me, it is the best of the best sticks, for others certainly in top5 ... Last edited by jan555 : 30th Mar 2005 at 02:11 PM. |
