All I want to know is how it performs and better still, how it performs compared to other products by different manufacturers.

What's inside the box, no need to know la coz almost all also same. Example, camera... camera, manuals, cables, etc. Graphic card, ---> card, manual, driver, powerdvd cd, and maybe games.

Hmm.. I think we should have a poll on this. I personally think it's important to know what's in the box.

Not really anymore, since most products these days don't bundle anything useful, unless it's worth mentioning.

The thing is.. if we don't mention it, no one will know whether there's anything else in the box besides whatever they are supposed to be buying.

In any case, the poll is up over here - http://forums.rojakpot.com/showthread.php?t=19110

Question

As everyone is saying, without a review it would be hard to stay relevant. As mentioned before ,listing all the accessories & even release dates would be a bit different to other websites & may help it to succeed. .It would have to be updated consistently for it to become known & as you would know ,it would be a sh..load of work for someone!

That's why I'm still doing that for my reviews.

erm.... that's not really what I meant. Whenever I want to know what is inside the package, I want to actually see them, pictures that is. So, I would go straight into the review to have a look at them. Plus, the items are listed again inside the review. That is why I'm saying that the listing in the product overview is not useful to me

Oh yeah, this is the PRODUCT OVERVIEW survey.

The thing is some products we cannot obtain for review purposes, so we can only come up with a product overview at most.

Like I said above, companies just send press releases which comes with a lot of marketing hype over the product. So, the Product Overview is supposed to essentially announce the product with a list of its specs and package contents with whatever other information we can collect on it.

Of course, if we review it, we will have photos of everything in the package, covered in detail. But it's good to have a summary page (in the front) for quick reference.

I don't find the the 'summary page' useful to me at least but ah, the thing is, if the majority don't like it for whatever reasons then why continue posting the product overviews? Just my 2 cents

Yup. That's what we intend to find out.

Too bad the number of people taking the poll isn't that many.
