We love charts. They allow us to condense a lot of data into a simple, compact form that is easily understood. However, what you SEE is not always what it MEANS.

Many companies have a habit of manipulating the performance charts they provide to the media in hopes of fooling them and their readers. We will show you just how they do it, and how different the real charts look like.

Here's a quote from the editorial :-

"Charts are used in many press releases and reviews to easily convey complex performance data to the reader. Everything you need to know can be summarized using a bunch of bars in a chart. However, charts are often misused to inaccurately present skewed perceptions of the actual data."
