I am not sure it's reported correctly here.
CoreTemp/Everest/RMClock/Real Temp show max temperature during this test ~58/56 for each core.

VCore is 1.28V.

Just wondering if you minimized it. You'd be amazed just how many degrees you can knock off the load temp by just a few hundred mV's.

Default not working

8.5.26

Trouble getting it to work.

downloaded both (2.68MB) 'Avisynth 257' (installed and rebooted, shows as AviSynth 2.5 in Start/Programs) in Wxp pro, and extracted the 32.2MB x264 Benchmark HD v2.0 (it only put a [3.41KB] VBScript Script File 'x264 benchmark-720p' in the folder had it extract to; where is the rest of that 32MB?)

On dbl click that vbs x264 benchmark-720p icon, for like 1/10 a second that black window popup flashes but it does not stay up nor can enter any names.
?Does one have to disable Wxp firewall, or the MS Defender spyware programs?
Am in Administrator mode.

reinstalled Avisynth, did not fix it; re-extracted the rar, this time it placed the vbs, a test folder and two IE links to techarp. Now the benchmark worked...

You need to extra all the files. The rest of the files are within the pics and test folders.

BTW, the main folder should contain at least four files, one HTM file, one URL file and two BAT files.

@bug - thanks for the data, man. I'll update the main page shortly. I dunno why it didn't extract the full rar file for you, but I'm glad you finally got it to work.

BTW, no reboot is needed when installing avisynth.

Also, as a cheap plug for everyone, remember that the "database" is freely available on the main page of the benchmark. You can, for example, filter it to see others running your CPU. In bug's case:

It was being used in Anandtech, I think.
