After we broke the stories on the release of Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and the planned RTM schedule of Windows XP SP3, we have now managed to obtain the confirmed release schedule of Windows XP Service Pack 3!

This is the news that all loyal Windows XP users have been waiting for. Here are the full details...

Here's a quote from the editorial :-

"Microsoft clarified that there will not be any integrated SP3 release for Windows XP Media Center Edition or Windows XP Tablet Edition. That means you won't be able to buy or obtain a complete Windows XP Media Center Edition / Tablet Edition SP3 CD. In addition, users of Windows XP Media Center Edition or Windows XP Tablet Edition will only be able to update to Service Pack 3 through Windows Update."

well it is the 29th, and there is no sign of sp3 anywhere on microsoft's web site.

so wonder what has happend to sp3 now.
i remember when sp2 was supposed to come out and they postponed it for awhile longer because they wanted to add more security to it.

lets hope this doesn't happen here this time.

Weird, there are no links at Microsoft's page and a search at the download center results in nothing related. Maybe it's still not the lauching time at Microsoft's area.
