It was just another day when I left my PC running overnight to download files while I hit the AC (air-conditioner) and went to bed. However, when I took a look at the PC the next morning, I realized that a few keys on my Saitek Eclipse keyboard were not functioning. How odd!

I had never dismantled a keyboard before. Nevertheless, I went ahead and took it apart. No beatles were found stuck under the keys and the silicone layer looked fine. Gently peeling off the silicone layer revealed the "sensor" layer. Everything looked fine at first sight, but when I took a closer look...

Wow, lesson learned! I usually never leave my Saitek Eclipse II's LEDs on, but I forget sometimes. I might have to pay more attention in the future - I don't want to loose my Eclipse! :-/

I am using Logitech G15 atm, I will if my keyboard can stand 19 months(I am using it 24/7- by turning on the LED light and LCD panel).

    Hi there, sorry for necroing.
I was cleaning my saitek E2 keyboard, and for the life of me, cant seem to get the corners open. Ive unscrewed everything, taken out the keys, and loosen the bottom from the clips, all except the corner. It wont give, even after spreading the back some 1/2 cm.

    Any help?
