Meet Huang Jing. She is a young Chinese lady who discovered that her laptop was using an Intel engineering sample CPU. She sued the manufacturer, ASUS for "defamation, selling defective products, and false accusation". She also claimed that Intel not only knew about the misuse of engineering samples by their partners, but also helped or allowed them to do so.

Although her claims of Intel’s complicity are so far unsubstantiated, the practice of illegally repackaging tray processors or misusing engineering samples is widespread. Do YOU know what’s really inside your computer? Are you sure you are even using an Intel processor, much less a genuine one? Read on and find out why this is important to you as a consumer, and how you can avoid buying fake Intel processors.
