The new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 comes with 216 stream processors, 24 more than the original GeForce GTX 260. This gave it a small 12.5% boost in texture fillrate while everything else remained the same. This small improvement, however, gave the GeForce GTX 260 new life and allowed it to better compete with the Radeon HD 4850. Of course, there were many who felt that the increase in stream processors wasn't good enough.
