Today is the day NVIDIA officially announces the upcoming release of CUDA 4.0. What's CUDA? It's short for Compute Unified Device Architecture, a proprietary parallel computing architecture developed by NVIDIA. It allows NVIDIA graphics cards to be used as general purpose processors - game physics being the key application for most of us.
