On the 2nd of March, Samsung revealed not one, but two, new smartphones - the Samsung GALAXY S6 and the Samsung GALAXY S6 Edge. Available in eight colour options and packed with the latest smartphone technologies, the two new GALAXY smartphones represents Samsung's all-out effort to reinvigorate the GALAXY brand and recapture their position in the smartphone market. This cannot come any sooner, after the market's rejection of the GALAXY S5 led to a 21% drop in mobile phone sales in 2014. With their Q4 profit dropping 64% from 5.47 trillion won in 2013 to just 1.96 trillion won, Samsung Mobile needed a winner and they could have just that in their new GALAXY S6 and GALAXY S6 Edge smartphones. Although the lack of a microSD slot or a user-replaceable battery had many people grumbling, mobile carriers appear to be delighted with the two new GALAXY S6 smartphones.
