You are right. The fillrate is too low. Looks like we made a mistake in the calculations, not only of the X1600 XT but also the X1600 Pro. We will correct the guide ASAP. Regarding your second question, the performance of any graphics card is more than just its fillrate. Incidentally, the 7800 GS comes with twice as many pixel shader ALUs. So, it can do more work on each pixel than the 6800 Ultra. So, about who the hell is going to buy the GeForce 7800 GS AGP, well, that's really up to the market. But I would put my money on gamers who prefer to stick to their current AGP systems.

You pick two or more cards to compare from a drop-down list, and it just compares those ones. Very useful for quickly seeing how your current card compares to the ones you're looking at without having to scroll through lists of identical-looking numbers. |

The x1000 series are a completely new breed of GPUs and should not be classified by the "pipeline measure", since ATI only speaks about pixel shader processors and vertex shader processors. Long ago the pipeline was a structure of one pixel pipeline + one tmu + one rop, nowadays this is irrevelant and will be even more when the unified shader architechure come to the pc. Last but not least HERE is a tool that i have made, it is called VGA CALCULATOR. The current version is 1.0.0.20., it requires framework, read the about menu and the tooltip text over the labels.
