Hmm...but does 16 pixel shader engine = 16 pixel pipeline in real world? Look at the X1900XTX, it doesn't perform like 48 pixel shader engine.

No, I don't think so the 7900GTX, even with smaller number of pixel shaders are still able to keep up with X1900XTX. Although overall I would say X1900XTX has a slight performance edge.

Maybe current games still could not make good use of the 48 pixel shaders on X1900XTX? or maybe they are not even optimized properly at all

Cool

So many readers think theres error if their exact gamecard specs are not listed. That is not case. Each game card is first off, controllers that are sold by engineering firm. Those game card manufacturers then use those controller chips in what ever way they can devise. Number of returned "FRIED" controllers exceeds number of burgers sold by those golden arches. Each time controllers goes out of parameters, that level of support is withdrawn from engineering specifications. However, lots of cards are still sitting at manufacturer made to that "Loser" specification, probably won't be used to any level of actual damage ,losers just don't perform as well as some of other variations. So wala, outlets like ebay, which those items all are like sucking shit out of horses' ass, for quality, and others sell off poorer, low run, product, its specs being slightly differnt than agreed upon large run item that goes to returnable ,retail sources(walk in).Remember even that stuff only has to last few months before your completely without any warrentee. Yet is much more likely to run very well in very large range of machines without noticable problems. Various memory speeds are cross with slots made at each level, its just that many small run items where not as retailable as ones listed in charts, therefore closed out after first production run & never mentioned again, except by shrewd internet retailers who know even smartest bloke won't likely figure out difference between one specific make & model and same make & model from another manufacturer using same controllers that worked in one situation fine, others not as fine..

x1k series should not be compared to a regular pipeline architecture.

In the old days a pipeline was 1 pixel setup engine, 1 texture engine and 1 rop.
Nowadays it doesnt matter because each one of those elements are not as simple.
