Sorry about the mis-info (perhaps) on the TNT "b-step." I thought maybe there was a TNT with a die shrink to run at 125MHz. I know the original spec (before Nvidia dropped the clock speed to 90) was going to be 125. I can't find the info anymore, sorry!

I liked what you were doing so much, I did some research on alot of cards not covered here. I didnt get alot of the information listed on your site, so its not perfect, but i hope it helps!

Chip name = core speed/memory speed, memory size, MT rating, die size, (pixel pipe x texture units), RAM path width, RAM type, [RAM bandwith]

Spaces for generations where applicable (or where i knew, heh), listed chronologically

3dfx

Voodoo 1 = 50/28-50ns 2-4mb 50mts .5 (1x1) 64bit EDO [400mb/s]
Voodoo Rush = 50/35-50ns 6-8mb 50mts .5 (1x1) 64bit EDO [400mb/s]

Voodoo 2 (1000) = 90mhz core 8-12mb 180mts .35 (1x2) 64bit EDO
Voodoo 2 SLI or
Voodoo 2 X24 = 2x90mhz core 24mb 360mts (2x4) 64bit EDO
Voodoo Banshee = 100mhz core 8-16mb 100mts .35 (1x1) 128bit SDR

Voodoo 3 2000 = 143/143 16mb 286mts .25 (1x2) 128bit SDR

Voodoo 5 6000 = 4x166/166 128mb 1200mts .22 (4x8) 128bit SDR

S3 (S3/VIA)

Virge = 50/50ns 2-4mb 25mts .5 (1x.5) 64bit EDO [400mb/s]
Virge VX = 50/? 4-8mb 25mts .5 (1x.5) 64bit EDO + 64bit SDR
Virge GX = 66/66 2-4mb 33mts .35 (1x.5) 64bit SDR [600mb/s]
Virge DX = 66/50ns 2-4mb 33mts .35 (1x.5) 64bit EDO [400mb/s]
Virge GX2 = 66/100 4mb 33mts .35 (1x.5) 64bit SDR [800mb/s]

-Virge VX used a wierd dual RAM arrangement with 4mb EDO and 4mb SDR

Savage3D = 90/100 8mb 125mps .25 (1x1) 128bit SDR
Savage3D SuperCharged = 120 125mps 16mb .25 (1x1) 128bit SDR

Savage4
-Note there was a TON of confusion about the Savage4 naming/clocking. I list all the different combos reported.

Originally reported from S3:

Savage4 Pro = 110/125 8-32mb 110mts .25 (1x1) 128bit SDR
Savage4 Pro+ = 125/125 32mb 125mts .25 (1x1) 128bit SDR

The first change:
Savage4 = 110/125 8-32mb 110mts .25 (1x1) 128bit SDR
Savage4 Pro = 110/143 8-32mb 110mts .25 (1x1) 128bit SDR

Later clocks:
Savage4 (Pro) = 125/125 8-32mb 125mts .25 (1x1) 128bit SDR
Savage4 Pro (+) = 143/143 32mb 143mts .25 (1x1) 128bit SDR
Savage4 Xtreme = 166/166 32mb 166mts .25 (1x1) 128bit SDR

S3 itself lists the chips it produced in the Savage4 Desktop family as:
394 Savage4 LT
395 Savage4 GT
396 Savage4 Pro-M
397 Savage4 Pro
398 Savage4 Xtreme

-Not a clue what really went on with all the different names as they deffinitly changed over time as is documented here. It was really all muddled. The Xtreme is always 166/166, though. Moving on:

Savage IX = 110/110 8-32mb 110mts .22 (1x1) 128bit SDR
Savage MX = 110/110 8-32mb 110mts .22 (1x1) 128bit SDR

SuperSavage IX = 143/143 8-32mb 286mts .18 (1x2) 128bit/64bit SDR/DDR
SuperSavage MX = 143/143 8-32mb 286mts .18 (1x2) 128bit/64bit SDR/DDR

-The IX was simply a smaller package form of the MX. The SuperSavage chips supported a 128bit SDRAM bus or 64bit DDR bus. SuperSavage came out AFTER Savage2000

Rendition

Rage IIc = 50/100 2-8mb 26mts .35 (1x.5) SDR [800mb/s]

-For the Rage II series, the chip could also take EDO ram, in which case its a 60ns 64bit EDO 400mb/s connection. The II+ simply supports limited hardware DVD decode features over its II brethren.

Nvidia

Geforce 2 GTS-V = 175/143 32mb 1400mts .18 (2x4) 128bit DDR

----------------------------------

Thats the info I have gathered so far. I can get the i740 Core/Mem clock (i have one somewhere i can throw in), but im pretty lazy, haha. I tried to get some info on Number 9, but it was pretty difficult. I hope this helps!

EDIT for V2 SLI/X24

2nd EDIT: Added LOTS of more information. Lots of the info is from here http://www.geocities.com/k_lupinsky/...7_3D_Chart.htm which really helped with getting the goods on alot of those older cards, as well as info from tons of other sources. It was really hard to find anything on Number 9, heh. If I listed a chip you already have, its because i found some more/different info then listed already. Enjoy!

Hmm...AFAIK, 3dfx cards are right, except for Voodoo1. I know some cards run at 57MHz, and the minimum RAM is 4MB, instead of 2MB.

You are correct about the clockspeed. Alot of Voodoo1 boards ran at 57mhz instead of 50. I wrote 50 because it was a little more conservative, and because its what the early cards ran. 2mb boards were produced early on (1mb+1mb texture), but most of those found there way into Arcade systems... but a few did reach the retail market, which is why I listed it. Also interesting to note is that there was a few 3mb boards which also reached market (1mb+2mb texture) as documented on a few sites, but ive never seen one myself, heh.

Oh, also, i put Savage IX/MX and SuperSavage IX/MX on the list because they are also put on add on boards and sold for supercheap. Old Rage Mobilitys have also found this niche.

Another chipset that not alot of people know about is the Geforce2 GTS-V. Its the same specs as the standard GF2 GTS but with a core clock of 175 and a memory of 143. Still NV15, .18 micron, and 128bit DDR. 1,400mts. I believe Visiontek was the only company to produce a card on the chip, the Visiontek Xtasy 5632. I have one, and it seems to just be leftover GTS chips that Nvidia had in stockpile, or something... as the card is a standard reference GTS layout, with nothing disabled or crippled. The card easily overclocks to GTS speeds, and some have pryed the HSF off to find that the chip is actually a GF2 Ultra underneath. Heres a review of the 5632/GTS-V if you need more info/proof that it existed, heh.

[code:1:1c65bef56b]strange. i thought GF4Ti was native DX8.0 only. nVidia never had any DX8.1 cards isn't it?

i've read arguments that while R8500 went DX8.1, GF4Ti was only DX8.0. then later both went to DX9 with nVidia never had a DX8.1.
- Goldfries[/code:1:1c65bef56b]

Haven`t seen this updated He`s right gf4 ti is ps 1.3 while directX 8.1requires ps 1.4.

[code:1:1c65bef56b]NV4 - Riva TNT: 90/110 128bit, 2x1 pipelines
-gf2gts2[/code:1:1c65bef56b]

That`s not true Riva TNT & TNT2 is 1x2 architecture just like 3dfx voodoo2. TNT - TwiN Texel !!!

[code:1:1c65bef56b]Hmm...AFAIK, 3dfx cards are right, except for Voodoo1. I know some cards run at 57MHz, and the minimum RAM is 4MB, instead of 2MB.
-Chai[/code:1:1c65bef56b]

Standard voodoo1 is 50mhz (spec by 3dfx), but some producents released overclocked versions ( Diamond Moster 3D - 57mhz, Canopus Pure 3D(?) - 60 mhz

[code:1:1c65bef56b]Voodoo Rush = 50/35-50ns 6-8mb 50mts .5 (1x1) 64bit EDO [400mb/s]
Voodoo 2 (1000) = 90mhz core 8-12mb 180mts .35 (1x2) 64bit EDO
Voodoo 2 SLI or
Voodoo 2 X24 = 2x90mhz core 24mb 360mts (2x4) 64bit EDO
-Cygni[/code:1:1c65bef56b]

Voodoo2 Sli physically has 16-24 mb ram, but there can by only "used" hafl of it bacouse of SLI arhitecture - every seperate card has the same data in memory.

Voodoo Rush has 4 mb of memory, the rest is used by a on-board 2d vga card, for example tseng ET6000
