I wonder how can he assumed that he didn't test the board when he had already captured the whole BIOS menu, and the Windows's motherboard utilities...

If you disagree with our way of reviewing, don't hesitate to give us comment. But accusing zy for plagiarising without proof is

Slash,

Although you have your rights to comment in any way you want, please do so based on facts.

If you do not like how reviews are written here, please comment constructively other than hinting that anyone are 'copying and pasting' from various sites.

In fact, you might as well say that reviews from other sites are also copy-pasted from others as well. Although I'm quite curious myself... what was it that made you think ZY didn't test the board for review??? Seriously, was it because there's no benchmarks?

Please do enlighten us. I believe however we all disagree... there's something to be learnt here by us all... Slash... you're turn to reply.

....
yes, i know that he did write that article on his own. yes, those pics are his. but wat i meant was, i was expecting a much more in depth review, probably testing with some cpus, trying to see how much one can oc with that board, how it stacks up against other boards.
in my opinion, i felt that his review was slightly lacking abit (no pun intended). could have gotten (as in read) most of the info frm other similar articles.
maybe u guys read my 1st post wrongly, or perhaps i could have rephrased it better.
anyhow, i have no ill feelings towards ZY, or ARP, or anyone here for that matter. in fact, this was 1 of the first local hardware enthuasist (sp?) site i've come across, and am glad u got thru those tough times with the server n stuff, and now have a loyal following.

Man, now you said that you're expecting it to be a much more in-depth review? I thought you said that his review is copied from other sites?

Looks like you are saying that this review is copied from other sites just because there isn't any benchmarks in there Review is not all about benchmarking

Oh, now that is a TOTALLY different thing altogether!

We are fine with such criticism. Helps us improve in future reviews. But allegations that the review was a cut and paste job is really quite unacceptable.

Now, about your suggestions...

1. Overclocking test. It might be possible to do that if ZY can use our Intel testbed. We need a very overclockable or unlocked CPU to do such a test properly. As ZY cannot use our testbed, he naturally cannot do such a test.

2. Multiple CPU test. Err.. What will that prove? That the AI7 is compatible with the Pentium 4 as well as the Celeron? If you are thinking about overclockability tests using different processors, see no. 1.

3. Comparison against other boards. Well, the trouble here is unless we have a few motherboards to compare against, it's hard to compare, right? ZY reviewed this motherboard because it is his motherboard. The only motherboard he has.

Agreed. Our reviews can always be improved. We don't deny that. But instead of concentrating on things like benchmarking or performance comparisons with other motherboards, we prefer to concentrate on exploring the features of the motherboards.

We want potential buyers to know what they are getting when they buy this motherboard. That's why we concentrate on things like layout, components, the BIOS, etc. If there are any design issues, we will let them know. If there is anything special in the motherboard, we let them know too.

But whatever is said and done, reviewing and learning from our mistakes is the only way to improve our skills in reviewing products. So, thanks for your feedback!
