Sorry to bump a dead thread but I cannot seem to find any definitive word on the x800pro to x3 mod status. I thought you guys here would be perfect to ask

Also has anyone successfully made their x800pro to a x3?

No I afraid not... At least I haven't seen anyone successfully softmodded it so far. I think the only way is to hardmod it.

hello ... I have a notebook DELL XPS 16, Windows Vista Ultimate Edition x64 with an ATI 3670 graphics card and 512mb. it is possible to transform any model FireGL (I think the ATI FireGL V5700 or V5725). Thank you very much.
