KUALA LUMPUR, 7 May 2015 – A good camera company not only produces the best cameras in the world, but will also help its users maintain those cameras and keep them working at optimum condition. Canon Singapore Pte. Ltd. is upgrading its Canon Professional Services (CPS) program to provide even better after-sales support to its professional Gold members in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, India and Indonesia.

CPS is an exclusive membership service that is free for professional photographers in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, India and Indonesia who use Canon professional cameras and equipment. Depending on their CPS membership level, members will enjoy benefits that include discounts on servicing, priority repair services, and even back-up equipment loans during repairs.

Due to the increasing need for photographers to travel for overseas assignments, Canon is also introducing a new Regional CPS program so that Canon users will feel more secured that they will have access to great customer support outside of their home country.

    Membership privileges

Currently, Gold and Silver members enjoy a 30 percent discount on repair fees for registered Canon photographic equipment in their home country. Gold members will also be placed on the priority queue for repairs. In cases when repair exceeds 24 hours, Gold members will be provided with backup photographic equipment (subjected to availability).

With the new upgrades, Gold members will now be able to enjoy their membership benefits on a regional basis, including countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, India and Indonesia. In addition, Gold members are now entitled to free sensor cleaning for two EOS cameras per calendar year.

To qualify as a Gold member, a Canon user must be a professional photographer.
