VIA Labs VL150 Electronic Marker for USB Type-CT Cables Passes USB-IF Compliance Test

    Taipei, Taiwan, 28 May, 2015 - VIA Labs, Inc., a leading supplier of SuperSpeed USB silicon, today announced that the VIA Labs VL150 Electronic Marker for USB Type-C™ Cables has achieved USB-IF Certification. The VIA Labs VL150 is unique in being the only USB-IF certified solution that is based on an optimized hardware design with powerful yet flexible programming options for ease of manufacturing and low BOM cost.

    Customer end-products based on the VIA Labs VL150 will be showcased during Computex 2015 inside the USB-IF Tech Zone (Booth #M0820) located on the 4th floor of the Nangang Exhibition Hall, this June 2nd-6th in Taipei, as well as the latest VIA Labs USB Type-C™ and SuperSpeed USB 3.1 host, hub, and SATA silicon solutions.

    Along with USB Type-C™ solutions, David Hsu, Associate VP, VIA Labs, Inc. will be headlining the Digitimes sponsored 2015 Computex Mobile Technology Forum with his talk on USB Type-C™ Applications and Ecosystem. The talk will take place at the TICC building in the Xinyi District of Taipei on Wednesday, June 3rd at 10:45am in Room 102. The presentation will discuss the new generation of USB, as well as the advantages of USB Type-C and its path to future development, while at the same time clarifying various complex issues underlying USB Type-C™.
