ED#59 : Intel To Announce End-Of-Life Processors

    Word has just come in from the grapevine that Intel will announce the discontinuation of six Intel Core 2 processors and four Intel Pentium D processors in November 2007.

    Do note that this is based on a leaked report and may still be subject to change.

    Wow, only almost more than 1 year old is considered end of life for the E6300 and its variants.

    Any idea if they can sell them cheap, since they are already technically (but not practically) 'obsolete'? :)

    Well, it's hard to say. The prices for these processors are pretty much fixed by Intel on the supplier's side, but after that, it depends on supply and demand.

    But I do think the E6300 will drop in price, cause everyone knows it's being phased out by the E6320.
