I thought I knew how to basically compare video card specs, but now I am unsure.. I am debating between these 2 cards... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16814133172 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...N82E16814122201(prices aside) I assumed the 6600Gt would outperform the 7300GT but was recently told thats not so... I couldn't find the 2 within the same comparison chart, so couldn't go by that... any thoughts?
It may be low-end but it's powerful! Take a look at our review of the Gainward 7300 GT card - http://www.techarp.com/showarticle.aspx?artno=334
don't be sad....after all i'm still surviving with a radeon 9100 of which a few games have refused to start because "your graphics card is too low-spec or something along those lines"
I'm the (maybe) the 1st owner of Galaxy Geforce 7300GT PCIE with DDR3 and free Zalman cooler here. Tell you something - this card is most probably another rare species like the Geforce Ti series. My suggestion: Go and get the 7300GT. Thanks to the ARP team for recommending me the graphics card!! I don't think they have 7300GTs for the AGP - get the 6800 which is nearest one to the 7300GT if you want the AGP.
Thanks. In fact, this thing runs very good - for the maxed out settings - try out the 'textures', 'model details' and 'shadows' in these game settings, and also give it a 4x AA and 2x Anistropic filtering. Also can try 2x AA and 4x Anistropic filtering. For the resolutions - it runs very fine at 1024x768, but I wish I had a bigger monitor so that I can able to do higher resolutions. This card couldn't do much with very high resolutions - according to the reviews: http://www.guru3d.com/article/Videocards/355/ And checked out the other cards too - even the 6600 and 6800 performance do not get even much nearer to the 7300GT (DDR3 version). This is the best card if you are doing budget gaming!!
I suggested to Adrian for giving Editor's Choice award for 7900GT and 7300GT, and I think 7300GT deserves more. I'm glad you are happy with this card. I was quite surprised how fast it was.
