11c to go to reach water's boiling point I was surprised it didn't give me any BSOD. 955XE @ 4Ghz, 1.3v. TR XP120 cooler. @ stock speed, full load temp is around 70-73C. Intel..intel..how do u expect ppl to use it la...
hows the CPU performance @ 4ghz compared to 3ghz ? i know if i overclock over a certain limit with stock cooler .. the temp. gets too high & throttling kicks in & my performance were worse compared to lower speed
performance? it sucks elephant's balls. It's bloody slow, it throttles, and in malaysia..who the hell need a heater in his/her room? in short, a rubbish that's worth RM4k Max: Im using a delta 120mm fan (about 110CFM)
benchmarking Intel processor can be extremely frustrating nowadays. the heat, the noise (955XE stock cooler sounds like a ystech 7.2k rpm 60mm power fan), the inconsistent, doubtful performance..jeezz.. back in northwood days, they used to be one of the easiest to setup and bench.. BOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
U know what phok.. Can I borrow that monster heater for a while... Its freezing here right now.... -2C
Ohh... forgot you guys using Opteron. My A64, open one Prime95 already want to die lo... And I don't have time to stress test. If I do it, then have to watch tv adi, no fun. Btw, the multiplier is always in the page where the CPU Speed is in the BIOS right? My MSI doesn't have. Can only up CPU speed only.
Opteron got single core and dual core one la... The processor above is a P4 Dual core with HT, only that processor can do that.
